BARIGA LOCAL COUNCIL BEGINS CONSTRUCTION OF OLORUNKEMI ROAD





In a bid for a greater and developed Bariga, what seemed like concerted efforts in building and rehabilitating key infrastructure that can facilitate economic development, the administration of *Hon Alabi Kolade David* has fulfilled his promise to construct the 1km Olorunkemi Road. 


Earlier today, Thursday, 26th October 2022, the contractor moved their equipments to the road.  Sands, granites and other materials were seen deposited on the road.

The contractor said the first phase of the road to be done is Bashorun street junction to Bariga road  junction, and the two sides drainages from Bashorun street junction to Aina street junction will be started today,  as he assured Bariga residents that the road will be done with precision. 



Recall that the administration of Hon. Alabi earlier this month announced that Olorunkemi Road will be done, and he has kept that promise.

Suspected Kidnapper Disguised as Lunatic Arrested in Epe.

Operatives of the Lagos State Neighbourhood Safety Corps (LNSC), Epe Command, have arrested a suspected kidnapper who had been disguising as a mentally ill person to evade detection. The suspect, identified as Mr. Godwin, a native of Ughelli Local Government Area in Delta State, had been under close surveillance for over a month following intelligence reports and concerns raised by residents. Community members reported that Mr. Godwin often made suspicious late-night phone calls and changed clothes discreetly each morning. He frequently took shelter in an abandoned security building along Lagos Road, near the T-junction. On May 5, during a routine patrol, officers were informed by residents that the suspect was temporarily absent from the area. Acting swiftly, the patrol team searched the structure and discovered 27 registered SIM cards concealed within a section of a block wall.
