EKO CLUB INTERNATIONAL PRESIDENT LAUDS REP. WALE RAJI'S SUPPORT FOR 2022 FREE MEDICAL MISSION COMMUNITY HEALTH OUTREACH





The President of Eko Club International, Chief Saheed Olusi yesterday appreciated the member representing Epe Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Rep. Wale Raji for his support towards the success of the 2022 Free Medical Mission Community Health Outreach which was rounded up in Epe by  the International organization yesterday, 19th October 2022.


In his remarks, Chief Saheed Olusi said Eko Club International is a group of Lagos Indigenes   in diaspora spread across different parts of the world but decided to stay together to enshrine unity in diaspora and also find a common avenue to give back to their home land. He said the Medical Missions started in 2007 during the tenure of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu as Lagos State Governor and has since been sustained by successive leadership of the organisation and state governors who yearly provide expertise, manpower and support through the Lagos State Free Health Mission. He said the services offered includes Health Education, Diabetes Screening, Vision screening with free eye glasses, General Health Screening, Surgeries, Free Meditation, Dental Check etc.



Otunba TJ Abass who is a member of the international organisation also appreciated Rep. Wale Raji for his support especially in the area of logistics which he said gave a huge relief to the organisation. He urged other individuals to emulate the lawmaker who he said despite being out of the country at the time of their conversation, volunteered to support the project for the benefit of his constituents.


In his response, Mr Bashiru Hassan who represented the lawmaker appreciated the organisation for not staying abroad to complain about Nigeria but investing their hard earned resources to better the lot of their loved ones back home. He pledged the continued support of Rep. Wale Raji to the organisation and other development oriented organisations in delivering impactful projects for the benefit of his constituents and development of Epe Federal Constituency. He lauded the effective and efficient structure put in place by the organisation which saw it attending to over 200 people in less than 2 hours and eventually serving over 500 people at the end of the program.



The event also got the blessings of community leaders who sent in their chiefs to support the organisers.

Epe, Lagos – May 2025 – Officers of the Lagos State Neighbourhood Safety Corps (LNSC), Eredo Command, have arrested three students and one adult in connection with a case of theft and aiding and abetting at the Government Technical College, Odomola, Epe. Suspected Kidnapper Disguised as Lunatic Arrested in Epe.

Operatives of the Lagos State Neighbourhood Safety Corps (LNSC), Epe Command, have arrested a suspected kidnapper who had been disguising as a mentally ill person to evade detection. The suspect, identified as Mr. Godwin, a native of Ughelli Local Government Area in Delta State, had been under close surveillance for over a month following intelligence reports and concerns raised by residents. Community members reported that Mr. Godwin often made suspicious late-night phone calls and changed clothes discreetly each morning. He frequently took shelter in an abandoned security building along Lagos Road, near the T-junction. On May 5, during a routine patrol, officers were informed by residents that the suspect was temporarily absent from the area. Acting swiftly, the patrol team searched the structure and discovered 27 registered SIM cards concealed within a section of a block wall.
