AKINLOYE FLAGS OFF THE CONSTRUCTION OF IRAYE OKE MODERN MARKET


The Executive Chiarman of Eredo LCDA, Hon. Ismail Monsuru Akinloye today 13th of December, 2022 flagged off the construction of the Iraye-Oke modern market in Eredo LCDA.

Speaking at the ground breaking ceremony in Iraye, the chairman described the development as one of the efforts of the administration to revitalise and diversify the economy of the LCDA.



“This has been necessitated by the need for us to look inward to generate revenue so as to reduce dependence on the Federal allocation for the execution of our programmes and projects,’ he said.


“The construction of market is part of the deliberate policy of my Administration to improve the economic fortune of the local council.


Akinloye disclosed the construction of the market would be executed through Public Private Partnership (PPP).


“The LCDA has engaged Land Chart Limited to carry out the construction of the market” he said.



“The project contains 163 Kee-Klamps shops and a story building of 24 lock-up shops and toilets.


He disclosed that some other markets in the LCDA have been identified for upgrading and reconstruction.


“Private firms would execute the project, with the LCDA’s equity being the land on which the projects would be executed” he said.


“This would allow the government to concentrate on other areas such as health, education and security”



He further advise does who are yet to get their PVC to the needful and also make sure they vote for all APC candidates at all levels to enable them have access to more dividends of democracy.

The Executives members led by the Vice Chairman; Hon. Lateef Adesanya, Management team led by Mrs Anifowose, market men and women, community youth among others.
