AKINLOYE IMPLORES RESIDENTS TO COLLECT THEIR PVC, ADVISES AGAINST VOTERS APATHY

In a recent public statement, the Executive Chairman of Eredo LCDA, Hon. Ismail Monsuru Akinloye charged residents of the Council Area to make efficient use of the ongoing stress free Permanent Voters Card (PVC) collection by the Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC) for the fast approaching general elections.

He hampered on the need to actively participate in the electoral process as it is a means of electing representatives who will man their affairs and be true servant leaders indeed.

The Council Chairman termed it a charge against political apathy as it is the electoral duty of the people as well as their constitutional rights to uphold national democracy.

In his words, "Nation Building cannot just happen overnight. Togetherness at the right time makes it happen.

Democracy by the people wasn't just a definition that came from the sky, it legitimately had its roots right in the willingness of the people to make the right decisions for the nation's development of which voting is unavoidably one of them."

The Council Chairman also highlighted that residents can now go to their ward collation centers to get their PVC's.
