Epe Division Mega Campaign Rally a Resounding Success – Barr. Oladunjoye

The Lagos East All Progressive Congress Vice-Chairman, Barrister Olayinka Oladunjoye has described the much-anticipated Epe mega campaign rally that attracted thousands of enthusiastic supporters and spectators, held on Wednesday, February 1st, 2023 at the Epe recreation center, as a resounding success.

The rally, organized by Members of the State Cabinet, Candidates of Epe LG, Ibeju Lekki LG, Lekki LCDA, Eredo LCDA, Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA, and the Councils Chairmen in collaboration with the party leadership in the state, saw a sea of supporters donning their Candidates' colors and waving banners and flags, creating a lively and festive atmosphere.

It was gathered that the Candidates under the party’s umbrella led by the Lagos State Governor, His Excellency, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, and his Deputy, Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat took to the stage amidst cheers and applause, delivering a passionate and charismatic speech that touched on key campaign issues.

Throughout the rally, the Governor received overwhelming support and was greeted with loud cheers and applause from the crowd, who were energized and inspired by the message being delivered. His Excellency and other candidates also took the time to meet and greet supporters, taking selfies with enthusiastic fans.

Reacting to the development, Oladunjoye credited the Governor, the Candidates, and members of the State Cabinet for their unflinching support and also alluded the success to the painstaking efforts of both local and state party stakeholders who massively mobilized both human and material resources.

“The mega campaign rally was a resounding success, and it is evident that the Governor has the support and momentum they need to make a strong bid for the election. The successful hosting of this rally marks a significant milestone for our dear party and its supporters, who are eagerly looking forward to the upcoming election season. Mr. Governor and his team expressed gratitude for the outpouring of support and vowed to continue working hard to deliver on their promises to the people”

The presence of these high-ranking officials demonstrated the significance of the event and the support for our National Leader and Presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu,” she said.

Oladunjoye, a former Lagos State Commissioner for Education praised the Governor and the cabinet for their leadership and their dedication to the betterment of the state. 

She acknowledged the challenges faced by the state and expressed confidence in their ability to work together to address them.

She also averred that the rally was a clear display of unity and solidarity, as supporters from all walks of life came together to show their support for Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, Governor Babajide-Sanwo-Olu, and other candidates of the APC.

She added that the successful hosting of the rally has provided a boost of energy and momentum for the campaign, and supporters are already looking forward to the election.

“In the coming days, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu will continue to travel around the states, meeting with supporters and sharing their vision for a better future. The campaign so far is off to a strong start and supporters are optimistic about the APC's chances in the upcoming election,” she said.

In addition to the rally, she was elated that the day was marked by another significant event - the commissioning of the Epe-Eleko road network in the Epe division. The network of roads, which has been under construction for several months, she said, will greatly improve connectivity and accessibility for residents and businesses in the area.

The commissioning of the Eleko to Epe T-Junction road built over 40 years ago and flag off of the 2nd phase from Eleko junction to Abraham Adesanya roundabout was met with excitement from residents and local business owners, who have been eagerly awaiting the completion of the project.

The road was officially opened by the Governor, who was joined by some party and community stakeholders and members of the executive cabinet.

During the ceremony, she praised Governor Sanwo-Olu and his team for their efforts in securing funding and support for the project, which will have a positive impact on the local economy and the quality of life for residents. She, in turn, applauded their leadership and commitment to improving infrastructure in the state.

“The commissioning of the 18.75-kilometer road was a momentous occasion for the residents and businesses alike are already feeling the positive effects of the improved connectivity and accessibility. The successful completion of this project serves as another example of the Governor's commitment to delivering results for the people and improving their community”

“By and large, it was a day filled with excitement and positive developments for the division and the state. Residents and supporters are looking forward to more progress and positive changes in the future,” she said.

With this development, Barrister Oladunjoye made a heartfelt appeal to the supporters, asking them to repay their efforts by turning out in large numbers at the polls. She stressed the importance of participating in the democratic process and using their votes to shape the future of their communities, local and state government, and the nation at large.

“The successful commissioning of the 1st phase and Flagoff of the 2nd phase of the network of roads has generated a great deal of excitement and optimism among supporters and residents. The Governor and his team are now focused on continuing their efforts to bring positive changes to the local development areas and the state, and supporters are eager to see what the future holds”
