APC Pioneer Chairman Is Dead


The pioneer chairman of the All Progressives Congress in Sokoto State, Danmadamin Isa, is dead.



According to Daily Trust, he died in the late hours of Friday. Isa was said to have been ill for a brief period.

Before his death, he served as Commissioner for Religious Affairs. Isa was also a one-time Commissioner for Rural Development.

He was the chairman of APC between 2015 and 2018 when he dumped the party and joined the Peoples Democratic Party shortly after the defection of Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal.

Before venturing into politics, he was a successful businessman and contractor. He owned a furniture manufacturing company.

Suspected Kidnapper Disguised as Lunatic Arrested in Epe.

Operatives of the Lagos State Neighbourhood Safety Corps (LNSC), Epe Command, have arrested a suspected kidnapper who had been disguising as a mentally ill person to evade detection. The suspect, identified as Mr. Godwin, a native of Ughelli Local Government Area in Delta State, had been under close surveillance for over a month following intelligence reports and concerns raised by residents. Community members reported that Mr. Godwin often made suspicious late-night phone calls and changed clothes discreetly each morning. He frequently took shelter in an abandoned security building along Lagos Road, near the T-junction. On May 5, during a routine patrol, officers were informed by residents that the suspect was temporarily absent from the area. Acting swiftly, the patrol team searched the structure and discovered 27 registered SIM cards concealed within a section of a block wall.
