REP. WALE RAJI HAILS SPEAKER FEMI GBAJABIAMILA AT THE OFFICIAL CONSTRUCTION FLAG OFF OF THE NEW MOLAJOYE - KETU BRIDGE

The legislator representing Epe Federal Constituency in the Federal House of Representatives, and Chairman, House Services Committee, Rep. Wale Raji has today lauded the Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila for his support and love extended to the good people of Epe Federal House of Representatives.


Speaking at the official flag off of the construction of the new Molajoye - Ketu bridge held today at Ketu, Epe, Rep. Wale Raji appreciated Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila for coming bringing succour to the people of Epe Federal Constituency with the construction of the new bridge which will replace the weak and ondulating one which currently serves travellers on the Epe-Ketu-Itoikin road.


Rep. Wale Raji recalled that the Epe-Ketu-Itoikin road was first constructed by the Military Administration of Gen. Mobolaji Johnson over 50 years ago and was in a terrible state 3 years ago which gave rise to kidnapping and accidents on the road before the intervention of the Speaker, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila. He said the reconstruction of the road which has now eliminated kidnapping and other social vices was awarded in phases. He said the construction of the bridge is a crucial phase of the project which he said will be completed in due course. He extended the appreciation of Royal Fathers, Party leaders and residents of Epe Federal Constituency for the project which he said comes with huge socioeconomic impact.



The State Coordinator of the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Mrs Adeyinka A. said as the supervising ministry of the project, they will be working with the the Ministry of Works and Housing to ensure the project is timely delivered to without comprising the quality.


The technical director of IMF Construction Limited, Engr Kumuyi Akintayo said with all preliminary works completed on the project, piling and delivery of the project will be done within the next 12 months. He promised that the company will leave no stone unturned to ensure the timeline is met without  comprising the set standard.



The Chairman of the Central Working Committee of the APC in Epe Federal Constituency, Hon. Wasiu Tolani Odeyemi (WASTAB) who led a delegation of party leaders, members and residents to witness the brief ceremony appreciated the Speaker for the gesture. He promised responsible, efficient and effective usage of the road by the people of Epe and pledged an overwhelming support for the party which he said has brought so many developmental projects and programs to different parts of Epe Federal Constituency.

Suspected Kidnapper Disguised as Lunatic Arrested in Epe.

Operatives of the Lagos State Neighbourhood Safety Corps (LNSC), Epe Command, have arrested a suspected kidnapper who had been disguising as a mentally ill person to evade detection. The suspect, identified as Mr. Godwin, a native of Ughelli Local Government Area in Delta State, had been under close surveillance for over a month following intelligence reports and concerns raised by residents. Community members reported that Mr. Godwin often made suspicious late-night phone calls and changed clothes discreetly each morning. He frequently took shelter in an abandoned security building along Lagos Road, near the T-junction. On May 5, during a routine patrol, officers were informed by residents that the suspect was temporarily absent from the area. Acting swiftly, the patrol team searched the structure and discovered 27 registered SIM cards concealed within a section of a block wall.
