LOCAL GOVERNMENT SERVICE COMMISSION VISITS EREDO LCDA




………Celebrates Hon. Kamal Ayinde Baiyewu 


A bi-annual monitoring visit to Eredo LCDA was made earlier today by the Local Government Service Commission (LGSC), a statutory authority that is generally concerned with issues connected to staff welfare, recruitment, deployment, promotion, punishment, and removal from service.


Those in the delegation of Mr. Kamal Ayinde Baiyewu (Chairman) visiting the People's Council for the biannual tour include Engr. Biodun Orekoya (Commissioner I), Hon. Akeem Bamgbola (Commissioner II), Mr. Ahmed Seriki (Commissioner III), Hon. Taofeek Adaranijo (Commissioner IV), and other permanent secretaries and directors.

The commission team was led by the highly celebrated chairman, Hon. Kamal Ayinde Bayewu, who commended the staff and management team for their dedication and commitment based on the recommendation of the executive chairman of the council.


He recalled that when they visited last year, the council chairman promised to do better on staff welfare. Hon. Kamal said he was so happy that everything has changed now because it was evident that joy and happiness were radiating from the staff.

He further advised the council staff to be more committed to their work, and he promised the state government would also do its best for the local government staff.

He gave staff members advice in the area of internally generated revenue (IGR) to think creatively about how to broaden the local government's source of revenue and to treat tax payers with the utmost respect and empathy.

The Executive Chairman of Eredo LCDA, Hon. Ismail Monsuru Akinloye, ably represented by the Vice Chairman, Hon. Adesanya Lateef, welcomed the delegation and thanked them for coming. 

He also commended the management and staff of the local government. In his words, "The Council Manager, HRO, and Treasurer are so passionate about the staff's welfare, and "I'm blessed to have them as team members.".

The council boss also used the opportunity of the visit to celebrate the commission chairman, Hon. Kamal Ayinde Baiyewu, who celebrated his birthday a few days ago.


Mrs. Anifowose, the Council Manager, in her vote of thanks, appreciated the chairman of the service commission and his team for the visit.

  The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, has released the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, UTME results. Over 1.94 million candidates registered and sat the examination in 118 towns and over 700 centres across the country.
