Epe (Lagos State), Sept. 26, 2023 (NAN), Mr. Monsuru Akinloye, Chairman, Eredo local council development area, in Lagos State, has invested hugely in the health of his staff to boost workers productivity.

Akinloye disclosed this while addressing newsmen in Eredo-Epe on Tuesday.

He said that the development became necessary because most workers don't know their health status, thereby resulting in low worker productivity and performance.

"Investing in workers health will boost working productivity, increase performance, and give them a healthier lifestyle and sense of belonging," he said.

According to him, the council partnered with Greenworld Organic Products to do a comprehensive medical checkup for 50 staff and also bought organic products worth millions to combat any forms of illness in the staff body.

He added that "health is wealth." Without good health workers, they cannot perform effectively and efficiently.

"Workers welfare cannot be compromised," he said.

He attributed his administration's success to the cooperation and support of all the staff of the council.

He described workers at the council as disciplined, dedicated, and highly committed, while also encouraging them not to relent in boosting the internally generated revenue (IGR) of the council.

He promised his administration's continued investment and necessary motivation for the workers to enhance better service delivery to members of the public.

He added that he would continue to prioritize worker welfare and wellbeing and also create a conducive working environment for the staff. (NAN). (www.nannews.ng)
