Aladepekun Coronation: A Day of Knowledge and Unity

Yesterday marked the beginning of a truly auspicious event - The Aladepekun Coronation Program. The maiden Aladepekun Lecture/Quiz Competition held on October 31th, 2023, was a resounding success.

Opening the event with heartfelt prayers, Hon. Yakubu Akingbade set the tone for a day of enlightenment and unity. Our distinguished guest speaker, Mr. Gbenga Ogunjombo, delivered an insightful address on a topic of critical importance to our society - Drug Abuse and the Way Forward.

Mr. Ogunjombo eloquently defined drug abuse as the habitual, excessive, and indiscriminate use of substances, leading to harmful physical, mental, and social consequences. He emphasized that combating this issue requires a multifaceted approach - education, rehabilitation, and community support.

In the quiz segment, young minds shone brightly. In the junior category, Growing Treasures Nur/Pry School Odo-egiri secured the 1st position, followed by AUD Primary School Odo-egiri in 2nd place, and Brilliance Academy Odo-egiri in 3rd place. In the senior category, Odomola Junior High School claimed the top spot, with Pobuna Junior High School and Alaro Community High School securing 2nd and 3rd positions respectively.

Gratitude was extended by Mr. Olaide Saheed Olotupa, acknowledging the collective effort that made this event possible. The day concluded with a closing prayer, led by Prince Kunle Oliwo.

As part of our commitment to community well-being, a medical outreach was also conducted during the course of the program, ensuring the health and welfare of all attendees.

This day was a testament to the strength of our community and the dedication of its leaders. Together, we stand united in the pursuit of knowledge, unity, and a brighter future for OdoEgiri Kingdom.  #AladepekunCoronation #KnowledgeForChange #CommunityUnity
