COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT IN ODO-EGIRI: A TESTAMENT TO CHIEF EDWARD SUNDAY OGUNKOYA’S TESTAMENT








In a remarkable display of dedication to his community, Chief Sunday Edward Ogunkoya, the Olu-Omo of Odo-Egiri Kingdom has embarked on a transformative project, aimed at enhancing the lives of the people of Odo-Egiri. The project encompasses the construction of a modern relaxation center, installation of a borehole for clean water supply, and the introduction of solar street lighting.



The impact of Chief Ogunkoya's endeavors has not gone unnoticed, as Hon. Ismail Monsuru Akinloye, the Eredo LCDA chairman, expressed his gratitude for Chief Sunday's unwavering commitment to the welfare of his community. In commissioning the borehole, Chairman Akinloye emphasized his intention to replicate such initiatives across all five wards of the LCDA, promising even greater improvements for the residents.



Furthermore, the Aladepekun of Odo-Egiri Kingdom, HRM Oba Musiliu Abiola Oliwo, who commissioned the relaxation center, spoke highly of Chief Sunday's contributions. He affirmed that the conferment of the Olu-Omo Chieftaincy title upon Chief Edward Sunday Ogunkoya was a decision he had no cause to regret. Oba Oliwo encouraged the community to cherish and maintain the new facility, with the hope of welcoming more developments in the future.

Breaking: JAMB releases 2024 UTME results

  The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, has released the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, UTME results. Over 1.94 million candidates registered and sat the examination in 118 towns and over 700 centres across the country. The Registrar of JAMB, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede announced the release of the results at a press conference held at the board’s headquarters, Bwari, in Abuja on Monday.
