LOCAL GOVERNMENT SERVICE COMMISSION VISITS EREDO LCDA





Today, the Local Government Service Commission (LGSC) conducted its bi-annual monitoring visit to Eredo LCDA. The LGSC, a statutory authority focused on staff welfare, recruitment, deployment, promotion, discipline, and service termination, sent a delegation led by the representative of the chairman, Hon. Hakeem Bamgbola.


The delegation included Engr. Biodun Orekoya (Commissioner I), Hon. Akeem Bamgbola (Commissioner II), Mr. Ahmed Seriki (Commissioner III), and Hon. Taofeek Adaranijo (Commissioner IV), along with various permanent secretaries and directors.



Hon. Akeem Bamgbola, representing the commission chairman, praised the staff and management for their dedication and commitment, reflecting the executive chairman’s recommendation.



He noted that during their visit last year, the council chairman had promised improvements in staff welfare. Hon. Kamal expressed his happiness with the positive changes, as evidenced by the staff's joy and happiness.


He urged the council staff to remain dedicated to their duties and fully support the chairman, describing him as a God-fearing leader. He also assured that the state government would continue to support the local government staff.



In addition, he advised staff on increasing internally generated revenue (IGR), urging them to think creatively about expanding the local government's revenue sources and to treat taxpayers with respect and empathy.


The Executive Chairman of Eredo LCDA, Hon. Ismail Monsuru Akinloye, represented by Vice Chairman Hon. Adesanya Lateef, welcomed and thanked the delegation.


He also praised the local government’s management and staff, highlighting the council manager, HRO, and treasurer for their dedication to staff welfare and expressing his gratitude for having them on his team.


Mrs. Anifowose, the council manager, expressed her appreciation to the chairman of the service commission and his team for their visit in her vote of thanks.

Breaking: JAMB releases 2024 UTME results

  The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, has released the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, UTME results. Over 1.94 million candidates registered and sat the examination in 118 towns and over 700 centres across the country.
