IFELODUN LCDA CHAIRMAN OKEOWO TO LAUNCH HISTORIC MEGA EMPOWERMENT AND FOOD PALLIATIVE/CASH SUPPORT PROGRAM
The Ifelodun Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Lagos, under the leadership of Mayor Olufemi Akanbi Okeowo, is set to roll out a first-of-its-kind Mega Empowerment and Food Palliative Program designed to uplift the lives of residents and support economic growth within the community.
This monumental event is scheduled as follows:

*Date: Wednesday, 27th November 2024*
*Time: 10:00 AM*
The program will feature the distribution of an extensive list of empowerment items, food relief packages, and direct cash support. The initiative reflects the administration’s commitment to improving living standards and fostering economic empowerment.
Empowerment Items to Be Distributed:
1. Mini Buses (Korope)
2. Tricycles (Keke Marwa)
3. Baking Flour
4. Blood Pressure Monitors
5. Cattle Feeds
6. Sewing Machines
7. Cover Button Machines
8. Deep Freezers
9. Fish Feeds
10. Gel Nail Dryers
11. Generators
12. Grinding Machines
13. Grinding/Grilling Machines
14. Hair Straighteners
15. Hair Tonging Tools
16. Inner Weaving Equipment
17. Hair Clippers
18. 6kg Gas Cylinders
19. Makeup Kits
20. Minerals
21. Noodles (80 packs)
22. Popcorn Machines
23. Poultry Feed
24. Salon Mask Hand Dryers
25. Hair Washing Basins
26. Sterilizers
27. Stoning Machines
28. Artisans Toolboxes
29. Vulcanizing Machines
30. Welding Machines
Food and Cash Support Packages:
• 1,500 residents will receive food packages to help alleviate rising food costs.
• 100 petty traders will be supported with ₦50,000 each to boost their businesses.
• 500 vulnerable youths will receive ₦10,000 each in cash support.
• 500 aged residents will receive ₦10,000 each in cash assistance.
• 200 young families will also receive ₦10,000 each to support their livelihoods.
Mayor Okeowo emphasized the importance of this program, stating, “This initiative is a demonstration of our dedication to improving the lives of our people. By empowering individuals and supporting families, we are investing in the future of Ifelodun LCDA.”
