NPC Lagos Hosts UNICEF Child Protection Team
The Lagos State Office of the National Population Commission (NPC) on Friday hosted a delegation from the UNICEF Child Protection Unit, led by Dr. Ibrahim Sesay, Head of Party, UNICEF Global Child Protection Unit, UN Building, Abuja. He was accompanied by Mr. Denise Onoise, Child Protection Specialist, UNICEF Lagos Field Office. The visit aimed to engage the Honourable Federal Commissioner representing Lagos State, Barrister (Mrs.) Saidat Olayinka Oladunjoye, on the need to streamline the roles and responsibilities of key stakeholders — NPC, ALGON, and NIMC — in line with the Tripartite Compact Agreement signed by the three agencies. Discussions during the meeting were robust, covering the historical context, defined responsibilities, and areas of collaboration among the stakeholders.
