BREAKING: ASUU finally ends 8-month-old strike

 




The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has suspended its eight-month-old strike conditionally.

According to reports reaching Vanguard, the union ended the strike after a meeting by its leadership on Thursday night, which lasted into the early hours of Friday.

Recall that ASUU commenced the strike on February 14, 2022.

Following a controversial incident at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, a public figure identified as AMKW I has issued an unreserved apology, acknowledging personal misconduct and pleading for forgiveness from the authorities and the public.
