  Senate President, Godswill Akpabio on Thursday has unveiled the long-awaited ministerial list of President Bola Tinubu and thier portfolios. Akpabio read the names of the nominees during plenary session on Thursday. Former Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, made the list read on the floor of the Senate on Thursday afternoon. Ex-Governor of Ebonyi State, Dave Umahi; and presidential spokesman, Dele Alake also made the list. After a long wait by Nigerians, the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, on Thursday, presented Tinubu’s ministerial list before the Senate. Gbajabiamila, the immediate past Speaker of the House of the Representatives, presented the list to Senate President Godswill Akpabio at exactly 01:19pm. The names of the three policemen killed by the gunmen had been given as Inspector Monday Orowhigoh, Inspector Festus Obey and a yet-to-be-identified mobile policeman, according to police sources. The Nigeria Police Force, Delta State command, has arrested two members of the gang that killed three police officers attached to the Dragon Patrol Team. Just In: Tinubu To Appoint Muri-Okunola As Principal Private Secretary

  The Lagos state head of service, Hakeem Muri-Okunola will be named principal private secretary (PPS) to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, TheCable understands. Muri-Okunola, also known as “HMO”, was personal assistant to Tinubu between 2003 and 2005 when he was governor of Lagos state. Tinubu thereafter appointed him executive secretary of the land use and allocation committee. He became permanent secretary in 2011 — about 10 years after joining the civil service — and was posted to the Lands Bureau in the Governor’s Office. He has been head of service since December 2018 when he took over from Folashade Adesoye. HMO, who was 51 in January, is the first son of the late Justice Muritala Okunola. It is still unclear what his job description as PPS will be since the president already has a chief of staff.   Kebbi State governor, Nasiru Idris, has sacked Babangida Sarki, his special adviser on youths, for reportedly posting homos+xual content on his Whatsapp status over the weekend. Ahmed Idris, the governor’s media aide, announced the development on Monday, July 10. According to Premium Times, he said: “The Executive Governor of Kebbi State, Nasiru Idris, relieved his Special Adviser on Youths of his appointment, Babangida Sarki. The sacking of the S.A. was a sequel to an indecent posting he made on his WhatsApp status. The Governor, who was enraged by the obnoxious development, said the aide trampled on the moral and social ethos of the Kebbi society, which is largely Islamic.
