TOLANI SULE: AFRICA’S EDUCATION FUTURE LIES IN CULTURE, VALUES, AND HUMANITY—NOT JUST TECHNOLOGY
 
  Tolani Sule, Commissioner for Tertiary Education, Lagos State. “The future of education in Africa will be defined not just by technology, but by how deeply we anchor learning in our culture, our values, and our shared humanity.”  It was an honour to serve as Special Guest of Honour at the 23rd Annual Lecture and 18th Annual Post-Doctoral Award Ceremony of the Fafunwa Educational Foundation (FEF), a respected NGO founded in 1995 in honour of the late Emeritus Professor Aliu Babatunde Fafunwa, CON, NNOM, Nigeria’s former Minister of Education and Youth Development and the first Chairman of the Lagos State Teaching Service Commission.  Themed “Re-inventing Teacher Education for Culturally Rooted and AI-Enhanced Pedagogy in Nigeria,” the event reflected FEF’s longstanding commitment to advancing educational research, awarding scholarships to outstanding students of education, fostering innovation, and promoting active dialogue between professional educators and policy maker...
