WOMEN EMPOWERMENT: EPE, EREDO, IKOSI-EJIRIN COUNCILS TAKE BOLD STEPS

The event which was used as an avenue to empower women in the Epe Local Government Area of Lagos saw the presence of the wives of the council helsmen as well as the Executive Chairmen in the state. Abdul Uthman, son of Davido's late aide, Obama DMW, on Tuesday appreciated the singer for taking care of him after his dad's passing. Uthman made this known in a birthday note penned for the Afrobeats star, who clocked a new age on Tuesday. On his Instagram page, Uthman wrote, "Dad, I'm writing this from the bottom of my heart. Keeping a promise is one of the hardest things in life!  "You promised to help me since I lost my father. You never rejected me. You loved me just the way a father should love his child. "Every video of us, you always saying 'my son'. Dad, my father would be so grateful for all you do for me! I love you so much.  "There was a day I was so broken, but when we spoke, he didn't just solve my issue. He spoke to me, 'My son hope you really good'. These words are so genuine and lovely." Mr Ijeoma, who arrived in South Africa from Nigeria on a study permit in 1998 to study at the University of Pretoria, was found guilty of fraudulently relying on a bigamous marriage to a South African woman to obtain citizenship by naturalization, local media Times Live reported. The don was granted permanent residency in the southern African country the same year he graduated from the University of Pretoria, after being exempted from immigration restrictions due to his marriage to a local woman two years earlier.   The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Kayode Adeolu  Egbetokun, has appointed CP Olatunji Disu, as the new Commissioner of Police for Rivers Command, in order to ensure efficiency in the policing system across the state. Aside from him, the Police boss also appointed over seven others to lead different commands, as part of the ongoing measures towards strengthening security, tackling violent crimes, and enhancing optimal coordination of policing operations across Nigeria.
