Lagos State Ministry of Tertiary Education Selects LASUED As One Of Its Centres For Jobs Initiative Lagos Programme

The Ministry of Tertiary Education, Lagos State has selected Lagos State University of Education as one of its centres to host a digital and employable skills training programme for penultimate year undergraduate students across selected Lagos state-owned tertiary institutions which include Lagos State University of Education (LASUED), Lagos State University (LASU) and Lagos State College of Nursing. The programme themed "Jobs Initiative Lagos" kick started on Saturday 26th October 2024 and will be held in the various selected training centres within LASUED, Oto/Ijanikin main campus in the forthcoming three Saturdays of 2nd, 9th and 16th October 2024. Multi-Campus University of Medicine: Lagos State to Establish A Campus in Badagry Division

  The Honourable Commissioner for Tertiary Education in Lagos State, Hon. Tolani Sule, has announced the state government’s plan to establish a campus of the soon-to-be-established Lagos State University of Medicine and Health Sciences in Badagry Division.  He made this known while addressing the press at a 3-day Seminar/Workshop organized for traditional rulers in Ojo Local Government (Ojo LG, Iba LCDA, and Oto-Awori LCDA). This new university, an addition to the three existing state universities, will operate a multi-campus system, with one of its campuses located in Badagry. Lagos State Partners with Swedish Organizations on Waste-to-Energy Project

  The Lagos State Government has announced its readiness to collaborate with Swedish organizations to turn both solid and liquid waste into energy across the metropolis. This initiative aims to harness the high volume of waste generated in Lagos and convert it into a valuable resource for the city. During a meeting held in Alausa, Barr. Tokunbo Wahab, the Honourable Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, emphasized the state’s commitment to innovative waste management solutions. He stated that the waste-to-energy project aligns with the government’s focus on transforming waste into a productive resource. “Our resolve from the beginning of this tenure is that managing and deploying solid and liquid waste as a resource is a priority for this government, not just for Lagos but for the benefit of neighboring states as well,” Wahab remarked.
