The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has reversed its suspension of former governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose; and former Senate President, Pius Anyim. Other party chieftains whose suspension were reversed also are Ibrahim Shema, Dennis Ityavyar and Aslam Aliyu. The PDP National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, in statement on Thursday also said the party’s National Working Committee reversed the referral of the Governor of Benue State, Samuel Ortom to the National Disciplinary Committee. The PDP, Nigeria’s main opposition party, had a week ago suspended the party stalwarts over “anti-party activities”, even as the party continues to grapple with a myriad of internal issues that led to the suspension and consequent replacement of Iyorchia Ayu with Umar Damagum as the national chairman. However, the party’s spokesman, Ologunagba, in a statement on Thursday said the PDP NWC met and “extensively discussed” recent developments in the party. He said, “The NWC recognised the impera

THE ENIGMA CALLED TINUBU

Image
By : Sammy Adeniyi People have said virtually everything that needed to be said about Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.  Hardly does a day go bye without somebody having something to say about him.  He is arguably the most discussed politician in Nigeria. Every March 29, Asiwaju marks his birthday and more revelations about him surfaces from testimonies of those who have been opportuned to have an encounter with him one way or the other. Even his political enemies couldn't help but join the fray and castigate him for all their political and personal problems. They go as much as blame him for everything both important and ridiculous. I once asked a friend who is a member of PDP in Lagos state and is always in the habit of attending meetings in one of their Chieftain's house what is it they discuss every time even when we are not in election season and their party is not in government?  His reply was  "what do you mean?   Is Bola Tinubu not alive?  If there is nothing else to discu

AT THIS POINT IN HISTORY, A MAN NAMED AKINLOYE

Image
By: Jubril Epe-CityJnr   That progress is highly desired is undoubtedly true. This is because there are gaps in every area, and someone competent is required to register its reconstruction. When it comes to collective responsibility, it is simple to preach about it but difficult to practice it, which is why AKINLOYE took a distinct and different stance. Akinloye provided constant advancements at a time when the populace is ravenous for progress and goodwill. Akinloye overcame discouragement at a time like this and provided arguments for true leadership. Many people had given up on establishing trust in good governance. AKINLOYE continues to be one of the most admired and respected leaders in a time when many people no longer believe in a trustworthy leader.  A man at this moment is a man like HON. ISMAIL MONSURU AKINLOYE. Jubril Idris Epe-CityJnr  Chief Press Secretary To The, Executive Chiarman, Eredo LCDA, Lagos State.

"LEADERSHIP IS INFLUENCE, JUBRIL EPE-CITYJNR HAS SHOWN ME THAT"

Image
By: ADENIYI SEGUN ALEXANDRA. John C. Maxwell had stated in his opinion that, " leadership is not by title or ranks or offices; it is by influence ". This was right after all. Do not be caught by the amazement that an individual had boldly written about someone else this way. I believe that praises are not to be kept away from deeds that deserves being commended. I became unconsciously an ardent follower of Jubril Epe CityJnr, the Chief Press Secretary to the Executive Chairman, EREDO LCDA. Yes, unconsciously because it happened without my consent and that is influence. He gave so much reasons to adopt commitment, consistency, hardwork, dedication as a style of leadership. Hence, his duties becomes efficiently executed. To more of the amazement, he is one of the responsible youths who makes politics take another form. He sure deserves this worthy note of personal commendation. If true leadership is to be defined. If being an exemplary leader is to be explained. If influence is

Woman Rejected by Airline Decides to Start Her Own Airline — And She Did!

Sibongile Sambo When Sibongile Sambo, a 42-year old woman from South Africa, was told by South African Airways that she did not qualify for a flight attendant position because she did not meet their minimum height requirement, she decided to take matters into her own hands. She became an entrepreneur, and started her very own airline called SRS Aviation, and until this day, her company is the only Black woman-owned and operated aviation company in Africa. So, how did she do it? Starting an airline is not an easy or cheap thing to do, but despite this, she was still able to get it off the ground. First, she formed her company and gave it the name of SRS Aviation. Then, she bid and won a contract for cargo transport issued by the South African government and formed a partnership with MCC Aviation - a South African-based fixed & rotor wing charter operator. Finally, she sold her car and cashed out her mother’s pension to help her obtain an Air Operating Ce
